Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP support. I got a problem with my AMD Radeon HD 8670M graphic card. As when I updated windows 8 to windows 8.1 and then to windows 10. Everything was working fine. But recently i upgraded 8GB (4+8=12) RAM then did the reset to my PC. After reset I was on windows 10 only but this time AMD graphics was not working. If I install Intel drivers then Intel graphics is working fine but as soon as I install AMD drivers, Intel graphics stopped working and AMD drivers are also not installed. After installing AMD when i right click on desktop -> AMD catalyst control center it says it cant start the program because there is no AMD driver software installed or there is no AMD card there. I tried many drivers and nothing really worked. But when i check my Device-manager, there are 2 graphic cards listed, the Intel HD 4000 and the AMD 8670M. I tried many times to reinstall my driver, remove it totally from the laptop, but nothing worked.

Didn't work. The setup you provided is giving an error.

So, I did a lot more research and found this software:

https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/beta/win10-radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-edition-20.4.2-apr23.exe

I installed it and it was working. So what i did is... I made a reset again just to make sure everything go fresh and nothing messes it up.

After the reset both the drivers AMD and Intel were showing in Device Manager. Only difference was AMD driver version was 8600M instead of 8670M.

I installed that software again and both AMD and Intel were working fine. I can access AMD software by right clicking in Desktop.

Hope everything i did is fine and nothing is missing from my end?

Hi:

What you did sounds fine to me, since the switchable graphics is working as it should.
