Hi! I am looking to see how I can connect to another display as this laptop has 1 HDMI port and a USB-type c port which does not support display. Tries hdmi splitter and found out it does not work. Can anyone recommend what type of adapter I need? I see that there are usb to hdmi adapter available on ebay, amazon but do not know whether it will work. There are no such adapters on the HP website. Can anyone please help and advise the best option? I do not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a docking station.
Thanks,
Carl O

The splitter gives you 2 monitors but they are only in duplicate mode. If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)
https://www.displaylink.com/products/universal-docking-stations
For example
