HP calls me back again earlier this week: "blablabla rollback not possible, the only solution is to send your laptop for reparation. We can offer you the reparation"

 

Me: "this is not hardware issue. This bios issue."

HP : ".. microsoft update..."

Me: "ok, i'll wait for a bios that fix this issue. don't call me back. never"

 

Today, I check drivers support page for my 14-ea0000sf and........

 

TADA : bios F.30 available

Desc: Fixes an issue where the system is missing the Windows PC display options for Adaptive Color and Change brightness automatically when lighting changes.

 

 

Tested OK.

adaptive brightness is back.

Updating straight away. I still love my HP Spectre, but would find it quite hard to recommend to people in comparison to the Envy X360 or other laptops. Just glad they’ve released a fix. Took them long enough

HP released F.28 that killed adaptive brightness.

HP failed at testing there changes.

Is there any quality dep at HP?

 

On "Spectre" product line, this is unacceptable!
