HP Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried to find the answer for this on the forums, but no joy. In the end I solved it myself, so thought I'd post the answer here in case it helps others...

Problem: I found the display on my HP Spectre x360 (Spring 2017 version) was slightly yellow. That is, when I had a white background (e.g. in a web browser) the white had a slightly yellowish tint. I wanted to change this, and reduce the yellowishness.

Solution:

Right click on the desktop background > Intel Graphics Settings > Display > Color Settings

In the section labelled Color Enhancement you'll see boxes for Select Color (initially set as All Colors) and for Brightness.

Go to Select Color > Red. Then reduce the value for Brightness using the slider. I reduced it from 0 to -10.

Go to Select Color > Green. Reduce this value for Brightness, again using the slider. I reduced it the same amount: from 0 to -10.

(Red + Green = Yellow) You may try different values according to your preference.

Click Apply.

You might have more luck using the calibration utility in Windows itself rather than the Intel app.

Thanks. I forgot to say I tried that, but I couldn't get it to change the white balance / temperature. Maybe I missed something there, though.

Go through it slowly and pay attention to how the image looks, particularly the guy with the white shirt.
