Hi guys,

I am enrolled in an Adobe After Effects course and the requirements to run videos effectively on After Effects are that the Intel video graphics driver needs to be  version 27.20.100.8476 and above as a baseline requirement. When i try to install that driver, I get an error message "The driver being installed in not validated for this computer". It seems that my laptop has a customised driver installed by HP.

Is there anyway I can install the generic driver version over the customised one that HP has installed for me?

I would appreciate if anyone could help as I have paid a fortune for my After Effects course.

Thanks in advance!

Shamayel

Note: My windows 10 is already updated as well if that would have made any difference.

@Shamayel

Sorry, but laptops require custom video drivers supplied by their OEMs, in this case, HP and there is really no way around that.

Courses like this presume you are using a desktop that then allows you to use drivers supplied by AMD or Intel -- and yeah I know that is so "last century" -- but that is what they expect.

Hi, @Shamayel

According to the product specs for your notebook, it only has the onboard Intel HD graphics.

Please see my knowledge base article at the link below for how to manually update the Intel graphics driver to the latest version...
