So basically, Im getting a graphics driver issue, which i can't really seem to fix, making my laptop practically useless
It has a ryzen chipset, 3200u with Vega 3 graphics, I have 8gb installed, two 4gb sticks running at 3200mt (i know the 3200u's limit is 2400mt). This happened after a reset and i can't use my pc for anything unless i use microsoft's basic display adapter, which isn't really good for anything, aside from the most basic of tasks. I've also did complete windows reinstalls, and even went back from windows 11 to 10 on a clean install and no luck. here's one of the events.

This isn't the most recent event but this is the most recent error. The most recent even tells that the driver was installed, but I still suffered a black screen the second windows loaded

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to:

1. Install the AMD chipset driver for the Ryzen notebook processors from the link below and restart the PC.

5.05.16.529

AMD Ryzen™ and Athlon™ Mobile (Chipset) Drivers & Support | AMD

2. Then install the graphics driver from the link below and restart the PC:

Adrenalin 23.7.2 (WHQL)

AMD Ryzen™ 3 3200U Drivers & Support | AMD

Well, thank you for letting me know that there's a new graphics driver that released 2 days ago. But it didnt fix the issue sadly, I did get a new event though.

Despite that, I still didn't get any HDMI signal. My replacement lcd coms it today, so I'll see if it shows up on that when i disconnect HDMI. I've also looked through some posts on AMD Community and reddit, and some people say that some of their issues were solved by switching ram. Not 100% of the time, but having different ram did help then at times apparently. I'll have to wait for my new ram to come in tomorrow though

You're very welcome.

Sorry that the updated driver didn't help.

I have a 255 G7 with the A4 processor and the Radeon graphics works fine, but of course that is a different graphics adapter and uses the older R3 driver.

It's pretty slow with only 8 GB of memory and a SATA M.2 SSD.

I can't imagine how bad this build would run with a mechanical hard drive and 4 GB of memory.

If these things weren't such a pain to take apart, I would install a 16 GB memory chip in the single slot.

So the screen came in, got it all set up and working. HOWEVER, doing this leads me to believe that the edp port on the laptop isn't wanting to work, or its a igpu problem. I have an older laptop (that's in absolute shambles, but is still functional, mostly), and i used the same edp cable on it, connecting it to the screen. Powered up that laptop and it worked  just fine.

Also noting, screen doesn't even turn on or light up when I turn on the laptop. No hdmi cables or anything. The only screen output i seem to be able to get is from hdmi. I'm really hoping the igpu isn't just, not working for some reason, or even dead

(EDIT: I forgot to mention, but the screen doesn't even show up in device manager, or CRU. just the tv, from hdmi)
