HP g6 1232sl
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I've got a HP G6 1232sl with a broken monitor. I want to load the BIOS to change some settings but it won't show up on external monitor. I connected it through VGA cable but it only shows up when windows is fully loaded.  I tried to disconnect the LCD but it still doesn't work

Hi! @thema94,

I'm not sure if you can view the BIOS page using an external monitor. As the monitor needs certain drivers to be loaded to display the screen.

However, you can try the steps recommended below and check if it helps.

Connect the monitor, turn on the laptop and keep tapping the F10 key then press Fn key+ F4 key together to get the external screen output.

Also, try checking with an HDMI connection and check if the issue persists.

Hope this helps!

Take Care! 🙂
