I bought a new laptop but can’t find the back lit-HP Laptop 15s-EQ2086AU

If your PC has a backlit keyboard (which I doubt), the F4 key will have a keyboard icon with 'light rays' above the keyboard icon.

 

That turns on the backlight.

 

If that icon is not present, then your notebook is one of the many that do not have a backlit keyboard.
