Hello, I wonder if you can get the background light on the keyboard to stay on and not turn off after a little while, because it's really difficult to see the keys in the dark and it's very annoying that it turns off all the time because I have a extern mouse and doesn't use the touchpad so it turns off all the time. I mean, sure, that it saves battery when I don't have it plugged in and charging, but I don't see the reason for it to turn off when I'm charging? CAN I TURN THIS OFF? Because I can't find it anywhere.

@Parran Greetings from the HP Community!

I hope you know that not all keyboards have an option to use the timeout feature by design, that's only available on limited devices, that said, here's all you need to know about using the backlight of your keyboard:

Toggle backlight settings:

If your notebook computer has a backlit keyboard, press the F5 or F4 (some models) key on the keyboard to turn the light on or off. It might be necessary to press the fn (function) key at the same time.

If the backlight icon  is not on the F5 key, look for the backlit keyboard key on the row of function keys.
