Product: Pavillion Gaming Laptop 5XE56AV
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just received my new laptop. Works great and very powerful but I am not happy about something. The backlit keyboard goes dark after about 15 seconds and stays that way until you press a key again. Then it goes dark again. I was on the phone with HP tech support for over an hour but he could not help. He transferred me to another department and after waiting approx 15 minutes I was finally connected. I could hear people laughing and talking in the background but nobody answered. I gave up! The tech in my first call said there would be a charge for this repair. I could understand if the keyboard went dark while using the battery but when it is on AC power this makes no sense at all. I have read other online forums and people are also not happy about this.

There is no advanced setting in BIOS on my laptop. There is no possible means for me to change the backlit setting.

I had tech support confirm that there is no means for me to make the backlit stay on more than 15 seconds.

Can you please help me with making the backlit keyboard stay on. I purchased this laptop for the bright keys due to poor eyesight. I am unable to make changes in the BIOS. Thanks
