Hi @Luxky

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

A black screen with no visible damage but with the laptop still making processing sounds suggests a display issue. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, docking stations, etc.).
  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds to drain residual power.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and turn the laptop on.

2. Check Display Brightness

  • Some HP laptops allow brightness adjustments via function keys.
  • Try pressing Fn + F3 or Fn + F4 to increase brightness.

3. Connect to an External Monitor

  • Plug in an external monitor via HDMI or USB-C.
  • If the external display works, the issue may be with the laptop’s screen or internal connections.

4. Try a Key Command to Refresh the Display

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to see if the Task Manager appears.
  • If it does, restart the laptop from there.

5. Perform a BIOS Recovery

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press the power button while holding the keys.
  • Keep holding until you hear beeping or see the BIOS recovery screen.

6. Re-seat the RAM (if comfortable doing so)

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Open the back panel and remove the RAM sticks.
  • Reinsert them securely and restart the laptop.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, the problem may be hardware-related, such as a faulty display or GPU. Let me know if you need further assistance!
