I have a Spectre x360 convertible laptop. The bottom of the device is warped/bent and separated at the front just below the mouse/touch pad. As a result the unit does not lay flat and the mouse pad does not function properly. Thoughts?

Hi:
From what you have described, it sounds like your notebook has a swollen battery which has become swollen enough to warp the case.
I recommend that you remove the battery as soon as possible to prevent further damage to the case and touchpad.
Consult the maintenance and service guide for your specific model series Spectre x360 as there are hundreds of different model variations.
You will also be able to find the battery part number and description for a replacement battery.
Please read the info at the link below for how to mitigate future occurrences of battery swelling.
