Recently, my FN+Brightness keys have stopped working. They still function as function keys, just not as brightness keys. Every other key, such as volume works just fine. I am on BIOS version 1.2.5.

You might want to start by making sure your HP Software and Drivers are all up to date.

If you have not used it before, consider installing and using the latest version of Softpaq Download Manager (SDM) to view, check for updates, download-install, and manage your HP software.

At this writing, the most recent version:

SDM

At the least, install the more recent Software / Updates, perhaps starting with the Chipset driver.

Personal Observation / Opinion

In general, if there is an "uninstalled" update from longer ago than (your judgement), say mid-to-late 2017, you can likely skip it / them.
