HP laptop 14s

Sometimes the Brightness level gets messed up
Using any of the brightness adjustment keys on the keyboard results into lowering of brightness of the screen
Have to restart the PC every time this happens

Hi @anuj_mehta219

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Please try these steps:

1. Update Display Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager > Display adapters > Right-click Graphics driver > Update driver.

2. Update Windows:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

3. Adjust Power Settings:

  • Go to Power Options > Additional power settings > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > Under Display, disable Enable adaptive brightness.

4. Reinstall Brightness Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, under Monitors, right-click and Uninstall device > Restart to reinstall drivers.

5. Check for Conflicting Software:

  • Uninstall any third-party brightness or power management software.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
