Hi, how do I know the screen brightness in nits or kd/m2 on laptop models? And what there a matrix?

I see from your post that you need information related to how the brightness is calculated on your HP notebook. No worries, I'll be glad to help you.

 

After reviewing your post thoroughly, I did go through the Product specification of your notebook and found that it has been shipped with 43.9 cm (17.3") diagonal FHD IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit (1920 x 1080) Display.

 

Here's in the Maintenance and Service guide of your notebook which actually tells us about the brightness metric which is 300 nits (cd/m2 )

For more details, please go through the Maintenance and service guide of your notebook: Chapter 1. Product Description page number 3.

As I understand you need the details on which pages is it available on the User guide of your notebook. No worries, I'll be glad to help.

 

Click here to access the User guide of your notebook. 

 

In the user guide scroll down to Chapter 1. Product description page number 3, which talks about the panel - Full High 'eƭnition (FHD), WLED AntiGlare (1920 × 1080) flat-flat (4.2 mm) UWVA, eDP, typical brightness 300 nits (cd/m2 )

 

Similarly you can scroll down to Chapter 10, Specifications: 43.94 cm (17.3 in) display specLƭcDtLons Page number 87.

As per the product specifications that the supported brightness for your PC.

 

The maximum supported resolution on your notebook is (1920 × 1080)

Thank you very much, but I'm not interested in the maximum screen resolution, and the maximum BRIGHTNESS of the screen. In the parameters specified typical brightness 300 nits (cd / m2 ) - this is the maximum possible brightness or is it the average brightness?

If you need information only regarding the brightness that's the supported parameter.

 

If you need assistance in changing the display brightness, I have a document which should help you with the issue: HP Products - Changing Display Settings, Background Image, Icons, and Screen Saver (Windows 10, 7)
