Microsoft Windows 11

I purchased a monthly care pack for $6.99. Then my laptop's touchscreen display broke. I don't know how or when it happened, but when I opened it up to use it, the screen is cracked. I tried making use of the care pack, but on the HP support website, it says the warranty expired last year but at the same time it says its covered with an extended warranty? I have the confirmation email I got from HP, and it says I can create a case online, but it seems something's wrong.
