First check warranty https://support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty/multiple-products-summary
if out of warranty contact HP and possibly they may repair it. I have seen this before where they fix the hinge problem even if
out of warranty

If it is only the hinge that is broken, it can be replaced. Usually the case or screen is damaged where the hinge is connected.

you should google part number L94499-001 and verify it looks exactly like the broken one before buying
