Hello, can please someone official from HP help me.
6 days ago, after i was done working on my laptop i turned off the laptop and started to close the lid of the laptop, and i heard a crackling sound on the right hinge. I opened the laptop again and I saw that my right hinge is damaged and also the frame of the screen, where the hinge is, is peeled of. I didn't turn on the laptop i closed it again carefully and went to the nearest authorized HP service, to see it fix as fast as possible and so that no other damage comes to the laptop. I went to the service with my warranty.
I brought the laptop to the service, showed to the worker what is the problem without turning the laptop on, after that they told me that they will contact me and I left. They then sent me a mail with a picture of a new damage on the laptop, that my LCD screen is damaged, which i saw for first time on that picture.
They told me that they will fix the hinge for free because it was not properly installed, but not the LCD screen, which I don't understand because the screen was not damaged before. I think the hinge that was not properly installed did the damage to the LCD when it broke, so why should they not fix that damage too, as I said it was not cause by my.
I am mad and disappointed at the service, because I have that laptop for maybe just a year and I really took care of it, but they are not willing to fix the problem that the hinge caused, which they admitted it was not properly installed.
That is why I am writing here, so that you can help me and tell me if this is possible to fix under the warranty as it should be. Thank you very much.
