Need some help with an issue that a family member is having that has the exact same computer, which is a new, as in purchased last year, HP Spectre.
There was a recent update, that I'm not sure whether it was Windows or HP, that my family member let update. After the update, her built in camera has stopped functioning. The Windows Hello function has also disappeared, and the error says something to the effect that the camera is not recognized.
There has already been a considerable amount of time searching for fixes online, contact HP support, which couldn't figure it out, and suggested wiping the computer clean and starting over, which who really wants to do that.
I should point out that I had the same thing happen to me a while back on an older model, so there must be someone out there that has made the connection between an update and its causing problems with the built in camera.
Please help. 🙂
