I purchased my HP Pavillion CS1000tx notebook on October 29th 2019 and since then I was facing lots of issues regarding display flickering I complained and it was said to update the graphics driver I did so but the problem persists
I went to the HP customer care they said to install a recovery as my Windows is corrupt but after doing all those things still, Flickering issue is there with my device.
Even notebooks battery is giving only 3hrs of backup instead of 5 or 7 claimed by HP
I request HP to kindly replace my product if it really wants to help or support their costumers

Here's what you need to do, to identify the issue and resolve it accordingly:
- If not done already, check if it works fine on the BIOS screen to identify if it's either a hardware or a software issue:
- If it works fine on the BIOS (Accessed while tapping F10 during a restart) it's a software issue & I suggest attaching an alternate monitor to your device and creating a new user account to check if that works better, for starters)
- However, if it doesn't work within the BIOS either, I'm afraid it's a hardware malfunction.
While you respond to that, I have a few more steps that should help:
Perform a power reset (no data loss) using these steps: Click here, proceed to next step if this works
Attempt to run a test from the HP hardware diagnostic tool, using this link: Click here for details.
If the issue appears on the diagnostics, it could again, determine a hardware failure,
If they don't appear on bios & the hardware tests passed: please update the BIOS & Chip-set drivers from the HP website using this link: Click here
if the issue persists, reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue,
use this link for details on performing the recovery: Click here

Hi! I had a similar issue with my pavilion 15-cs1001la and already tried all that was suggested to you and it didn't work. Even a full factory reset withut keeping files as suggested by the HP customer support. I did it and couldn't even use my computer because windows started with the intel UDH graphics 620 that caused the issue. The result was an unusable computer.
I managed to complete all the windows setup with the glitching and flickering display to deactivate the intel driver and use my compouter again.
The technician said it was a hardware problem ans that they would replace my graphics card.

@Ugj Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are facing the display flickering issue.
Have you checked on the BIOS as well?
Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -
Step 1 Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant
- In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
- Check for updates.
- If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

I understand your concerns.
Please run the SFC scan. you can refer to this Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker
If the issue still persists, please perform the system reset
Windows 10 has a reset feature that repairs your computer by reinstalling the operating system. This feature is recommended for recovery because it reinstalls Windows 10 while either preserving your personal data and customizations or removing all your personal data.
You have a choice of two methods to reset your computer.
-
If Windows 10 loads correctly, see the section titled Perform a Windows 10 system reset in Windows in this document.
-
If Windows 10 does not start correctly, see the section titled Perform a Windows 10 system reset through Windows Recovery Environment in this document.
Have a nice day!!
