To resolve the issue with your HP 14s-Dq5xxx camera not working on Windows 11, you can follow these steps:

1. Update the Camera Driver

Open Device Manager:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Find the Camera:

  • Expand the "Imaging Devices" section to find your camera.

Update the Driver:

  • Right-click on the camera device and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and let Windows search for the latest driver.

2. Download the Driver from HP's Website

Visit the HP Support Website:

  • Go to HP Support and enter your laptop model (HP 14s-Dq5xxx) in the search box.

Select Drivers & Downloads:

  • Choose your operating system (Windows 11, 64-bit) and find the camera driver under the "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices" section.

Download and Install:

  • Download the driver and follow the installation instructions.

3. Check Camera Privacy Settings

Open Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.

Allow Access:

  • Make sure that access to the camera is enabled for apps you want to use it with.

4. Run the HP Hardware Diagnostics HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures

Open HP Support Assistant:

  • If installed, open HP Support Assistant from your Start Menu.

Run Diagnostics:

  • Go to the "Diagnostics" section and run a test for the camera to check if there are any hardware issues.

Refer to this document: HP PCs - Troubleshoot the webcam (Windows 11 and Windows 10)
