Hi  @Sahrmini07

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you're unable to access the camera on your HP laptop, and from the screenshot, the Camera app is displaying "We can't find your camera" (Error code: 0xA00F4244 NoCamerasAreAttached). I'll be glad to help you with this.

To better assist you, kindly share the following details:

  • Does the camera work in applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or HP Presence, or is it unavailable everywhere?
  • Is there a physical camera shutter key or privacy switch on your laptop, and if so, is it currently enabled?

In the meantime, kindly try the following steps:

1. Check the Camera Privacy Key

Many HP laptops include a dedicated camera privacy key (often shown with a camera icon, sometimes on the F8, F9, or F10 key).

  • Press the camera privacy key once.
  • If your laptop has an external camera shutter, ensure it is open.

2. Verify Camera Access Settings

  1. Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
  2. Make sure:
    • Camera access is turned On.
    • Let apps access your camera is turned On.
    • The Camera app has permission to use the camera.

3. Check Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  3. If the camera appears:
    • Right-click it and select Enable device (if available).
    • Select Update driver.
  4. If there is a yellow warning symbol, kindly let us know what it shows.

4. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics  - click here for steps

  1. Turn off the notebook.
  2. Turn it on and repeatedly tap F2.
  3. Open Component Tests > Camera.
  4. Run the camera test and share the result.

5. Perform a Hard Reset  - click here for steps

  1. Shut down the laptop.
  2. Disconnect the charger and any external devices.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the charger and start the laptop.
