I assume it was caused by a windows update and not a real hardware problem that could be diagnosed by using F2 when booting.
Does the camera show up in the device manager? Bring up the Windows device manager and try rolling back the camera driver. Possibly a Windows update installed the wrong driver.
Did you try rolling back the camera driver?
See if you can restore the PC to a time before the problem happened.
This video describes how to use a restore point. Alternately enter restore in the windows search bar.
