Camera just stopped working & no drivers for it - HP ENVY x360

The camera on my HP Envy x360 was working fine and as far as aware nothing has changed but it stopped working, I ran the HP tool to update any drivers and still no luck. I can't find the camera driver on the HP website for this product either doesnt seem to have one for the camera?

I did a factory reset & reinstall of Windows 10, since this had fixed the issue for others but again no luck. Any ideas on what it could be?

Apparently a common issue. It’s a driver issue. The one currently available is too old. After trying many solutions the only one that works but only temporarily and temper mentally!

1. stetting> apps > camera > advanced > reset 

2. reinstall the camera driver (you may download it from Hp - regretfully it is an old driver and Hp are not planning to update!)

I wish you luck.  Sometimes it works sometimes it does not but keep repeating! Don’t be upset if it stops working again! I gave up and bought an external camera and gave up on windows hello!
