Camera not found. No camera in Device Manager. No switch/button on laptop.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Check device manager: Right-click Start > Device Manager > Right-click and select Scan for hardware changes.

Install/Reinstall Camera Driver: Go to the HP website, download and install the latest camera driver.

Check Privacy Settings: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and make sure apps can access it.

Check BIOS: Restart your laptop, press F10 to enter BIOS, and make sure the camera is enabled.

Update Windows: Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Use HP Support Assistant: Open HP Support Assistant and run the camera diagnostics.

Hi. I tried all suggestions including updating the BIOS, reinstalling the camera driver and running the diagnostics program. Cameras and Imaging devices still do not appear in the device manager...
