Hi @CA876,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand that the camera is not working after recent updates on your HP Spectre Foldable PC 17‑cs0000 running **Microsoft Windows 11. This can sometimes occur if the camera driver is affected during a Windows update. Please try the steps below to restore camera functionality.

Check Camera Privacy Settings

  1. Click Start → Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy & Security.
  3. Select Camera.
  4. Make sure:
    • Camera access is turned ON.
    • Let apps access your camera be ON.
    • The app you are trying to use (Teams, Zoom, Camera app, etc.) is allowed.

Test the Camera in the Camera App

  1. Press Start and search for Camera.
  2. Open the Camera app and check if the camera displays video.

If it works here but not in another app, the issue is likely with that specific application’s permissions.

Update the Camera Driver

  1. Right-click the Start menu and open Device Manager.
  2. Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  3. Right-click the camera device (for example, HP IR Camera or Integrated Camera).
  4. Select Update driver.
  5. Choose Search automatically for drivers.

Restart the computer after the update.

Reinstall the Camera Driver

If updating does not resolve the issue:

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Expand Cameras.
  3. Right-click the Integrated Camera.
  4. Select Uninstall device.
  5. Restart the notebook.

Windows will automatically reinstall the driver during a restart.
