HP Notebook - 15s-du0093tu

My camera is connected to my device as it is built-in. I do not find any camera switch button on my keyboard meaning that I don't have the access to put the camera off through the keyboard by accidentally pressing the key.

I have all my drivers up-to-date in my laptop. It is a big problem for me. Please help me as soon as possible.

Hi @AlaBo_4387,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There could be several reasons why your HP laptop camera is not working. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check the camera app settings: Make sure the camera app you are using is configured correctly. In most cases, the camera app will have an option to select the camera device. Check if the correct camera is selected.
  • Check if the camera is enabled: Sometimes, the camera might be disabled in the device manager. To check this, go to Device Manager, find the camera device, and right-click on it. If it is disabled, enable it.
  • Check if the camera driver is updated: Make sure the camera driver is updated to the latest version. To check this, go to Device Manager, find the camera device, and right-click on it. Select "Update driver" and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Check if any other application is using the camera: Sometimes, another application may be using the camera, which can prevent it from working in other applications. Close all applications that use the camera and try again.
  • Check if the camera is physically connected: Check if the camera is physically connected to the laptop properly. Sometimes, a loose connection can cause the camera to not work.
  • Restart your laptop: Sometimes, restarting your laptop can resolve the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
