Hi @SGrzegorzewski

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems that your camera is showing as disabled, and you’re unable to select the button to reconnect it. This can happen due to several reasons, such as software issues, camera driver problems, or privacy settings. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Check the Camera Settings in Windows

The first thing you should do is check whether the camera is being disabled via the Windows Privacy settings.

Open the Settings:

  • Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
  • Alternatively, you can click on the Start Menu and select Settings (the gear icon).

Navigate to Privacy Settings:

  • Click on Privacy & Security on the left-hand sidebar.
  • Scroll down and select Camera under the App Permissions section.

Check Camera Access:

  • Ensure that Camera access for the device is turned on. If it is turned off, toggle it to the On position.
  • Below that, make sure that Let apps access your camera is enabled.
  • Scroll down to ensure the specific app you are trying to use the camera with (e.g., Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams) has access to the camera.

If the camera is disabled here, enabling it should resolve the issue.

Step 2: Check the Device Manager for Camera Status

If the camera is still showing as disabled, you can try checking the Device Manager to see if there is an issue with the drivers.

Open Device Manager:

  • Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager.
  • Alternatively, you can right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.

Find the Camera Device:

  • In the Device Manager window, expand the Imaging Devices section.
  • Look for your camera in the list (it could be named something like “Integrated Camera,” “Webcam,” or the specific brand/model of your camera).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
