@Beto16, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are some effective steps to troubleshoot and fix the camera issue on your HP ENVY x360 15.6" 2-in-1 Laptop (15-ew0000) running Windows 11:
Enable Camera Access in Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned ON.
- Scroll down and make sure the apps you want to use (like Zoom, Teams, etc.) have permission.
Run the Camera Troubleshooter
- Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find and run the Camera troubleshooter.
Reinstall or Update the Camera Driver
- Press Win + X → Device Manager.
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
- Right-click your camera → choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop—Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- Alternatively, right-click and choose Update driver → Search automatically.
Reset the Camera App
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for Camera, click the three dots → Advanced options.
- Click Repair, and if that doesn’t work, click Reset.
Check for Windows and BIOS Updates
- Open HP Support Assistant and install all recommended updates.
- Also check Windows Update for any pending updates.
- You can also update the BIOS from HP official support site.
