I have my niece's HP Envy x360 15-ee0047nr with a badly cracked screen from a drop. I originally helped her figure out specifications and pricing with the HP sales agent when she originally purchased it. The base display for this model is a 250 nits screen (part number L93181-001). Had I known that it was 250 nits, and that a 400 nits upgrade screen (part number L93183-001) was available at the time, I would have made sure to order it. Since I have to replace the screen, I was wondering if the 400 nit panel would be compatible, and a direct swap.
I have limited time before her classes start again, so I want to make certain that this will work. I inquired about sending the laptop back to HP for repair, but it is prohibitively expensive, and even the panel part price alone is high. I have been reviewing a number of websites for an alternative, such as Amazon, Ebay, laptopscreens.com , and BlissComputers.net to find panels from a trustworthy source, but that is difficult to know. I have noticed that I could only find one screen on Amazon that mentioned being compatible with the optional stylus for this laptop, so I reasoned that it may be more compatible than the competitors who mentioned that the stylus definitely won't work. I like that the original screen is FHD and IPS, I would just like to know if the 400 nits screen is an easy upgdrade, and where I might be able to look for a reasonable trustworthy vendor
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
