HP Pavilion x360 Laptop - 14-dh2671cl
Microsoft Windows 11

My laptop can only use 2 monitor displays which include my laptop screen. My Laptop is HP Pavillion x360. Can I use HP USB C/A Universal Dock G5 to change my laptop from a 2 monitor extended display to a 3 or more ?

Hi @UcheUche,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Pavilion x360 is a convertible laptop, and the HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G5 is a docking station that allows you to connect your laptop to additional peripherals, including external monitors.

According to the specifications provided by HP for the Universal Dock G5, it supports up to two displays through its video output ports, which typically include a combination of HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA. This means you can extend your laptop's display to two external monitors using the docking station.

Unfortunately, the HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G5 does not support connecting more than two external monitors simultaneously. It is limited to dual-monitor extended display configurations.

If you need to connect three or more external monitors to your laptop, you will need a different docking station that supports multiple displays or consider using additional methods like daisy-chaining (if your monitors support it) or connecting one monitor directly to your laptop's built-in ports while using the dock for the other two monitors. Alternatively, some high-end laptops with discrete graphics cards can support multiple external displays without a docking station, so you might want to check your laptop's specifications as well.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
