As the title says, I have an HP EliteBook 840 G6, and am just wondering if it can support an eGPU. I understand that you need a special thunderbolt port and am unsure if my version has one, since I know some older ones don't, but even if it does, I don't know if that automatically means you can use an eGPU.

Its specs

              https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06352019

It has

(1) USB 3.1 Type-C port (with Thunderbolt support)
(2) USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 charging)
(1) HDMI 1.4b port (cable sold separately)
(1) RJ-45 port
(1) Docking connector
(1) Headphone/microphone combo
(1) AC power port

Yes, you can use eGPU to connect to the Thunderbolt but it ONLY has USB-C 3.1 that means it may not be able to drive a good eGPU.

Regards.
