Hi, I just bought LG - 34WL500-B 34" IPS LED UltraWide FHD FreeSync Monitor with HDR
34WL500-B and an not connect to HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0066 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz through USB-C. I read that motherboard is supporting 3 monitors and try to add a 3rd monitor through the USB-c. 30 min with LG...40 min with HP...20min with BestBuy - no results.
I am using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077PHJLHG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 adapter.
Please help, I really like this monitor, and I need it for non-stop teaching on Google Classroom/Meet. Thank you in advance!

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05999927
It has following ports at its back
- (1) VGA port
- (1) HDMI 1.4/HDCP 2.2
- (1) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port
- (5) USB 2.0 Type-A ports
- (3) Audio ports
- (1) RJ-45 port
You can ONLY use 2 external monitors at the same time. The first one is VGA and the second one is HDMI . HDMI to USB-C will never work.
Regards.

Not true. This Processor is supporting 3 monitors
https://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i5/Intel-Core%20i5%20i5-8400.html

It is working perfectly separated with HDMI and/or DB9, why is USB-c not working by itself with ANY kind of monitors?
