I have tried connecting the monitors but they are not detected....I used these same monitors for my work laptop with no issue.  It is an HP Pavillion Laptop and trying to connect HP Monitors.

@DanA345, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Monitors Connection Issues with HP Pavilion Laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're facing issues with connecting your HP monitors to an HP Pavilion Laptop, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:

1. Check Physical Connections

  • Port Compatibility: Ensure that both the laptop and monitors have compatible ports (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort, USB Type-C).
  • Cable Check: Verify that the cables are not damaged and are securely connected to both the laptop and the monitors.

2. Monitor Setup

  • Power Status: Ensure that the monitors are turned on and the power cables are properly connected.
  • Input Source Selection: Use the monitor's OSD (On-Screen Display) menu to select the correct input source corresponding to the connected cable.

3. Driver Update

  • Display Drivers: Update the display drivers on your laptop. You can do this by visiting the HP Customer Support website and downloading the latest drivers for your specific model.

4. Display Settings Configuration

  • Windows Display Settings: Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings" to check if the monitors are detected.
  • Detect Monitors: Click on "Detect" in the display settings window to force the laptop to identify any connected monitors.

5. Graphics Card Settings

  • Graphics Control Panel: Access your graphics card's control panel (e.g., Intel Graphics Control Panel, NVIDIA Control Panel) and look for any settings related to multi-monitor setup.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
