HP Notebook 14 cf0018ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I'm currently attempting to connect a dual monitor setup to my laptop (HP Notebook 14 cf0018ca) through a docking station connected by usb-c. One monitor is working perfectly fine, however, the other monitor is not picking up any signal. I tried connecting the monitors to another device, and both monitors worked without any issue. Is there anything I can do to get a display from both monitors (i.e. drivers I can install, update to windows 11). I also get a "Display connection might be limited" message whenever I plug in the usb-c cord, and it doesn't charge my laptop.

The specs of your machine is

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06054986

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.
