HP EliteBook 840 G5 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi!
Just acquired a EliteBook 840 G5 to use as a daily computer since i sold the gaming rig.

It has the Intel UHD Graphics 620 chip.

I own a Philips P-Line 498P9 Curved. Which can run 5120×1440. But i seem to get stuck at 3840x2160 which is.... working but not as good as the maximum haha.

Ive checked the PC for updates with HP support assistant and its all green, no pending Windows updates video drivers is the newest and so on. Ive updated the usb-c dockingstation wich is a HP USB-C Dock G5.

Nothing wrong with the cable or monitor since ive used the HDMI cable with a Dell latitude and associated docking station and it worked just fine.

Does anyone have a genuine solution?

Hi @Resistencia

I was able to figuer it out on my own, seems like that the G5 docking station was locked for 3840x2160 and could not display higher, I plugged in my work laptop which is a Dell Latitude 5420 and it couldnt run 5120×1440, which made me confused since it had before on the Dell docking station i had.
So i just swithced it up, connected the Dell station and the Dell pc worked at 5120×1440 like butter.

Then plugged in the 840 G5 to the Dell station.... and it also worked. 5120×1440 at 59hz like nothing ever were a problem 😅
