Hi @BIGWORK
This is because the USB-C port on the laptop is not compatible with DisplayPort, it is only for data transfer.
Ports
Audio-out (headphone)/audio-in (microphone) combo jack
HDMI v1.4b + HDCP 2.0 supporting 1080p up to 1920 × 1080 @ 60 Hz
USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (2)
USB 3.2 Type-C® Gen1 port, supports data transfer

Hi @Resistencia,
I have the same issue and was asked to get a cable with hdmi male and usb-c female to connect to a connector/dock which enables me to then connect to 2 monitor screens. Will this work? I appreciate your advice before purchasing one.
Thanks!

Hi @1hammy1
you must indicate the model of the laptop. if you do not have a USB-C port with displayport it will not work.

is not compatible with DisplayPort, you must use a special dock compatible with DisplayLink, this dock via software and hardware can send image, I leave you the link to select the dock you want.
