Hello, I have a HP elitebook 745g6. The backlit won't trun off. It turns on whenever I turn on the computer and wouldn't turn off using the assigned key(f9) I tried pressing it, holding it pressing it with function key
There is no bios option for backlit control. The bios is up to date. I installed the the hp hotkey support uwp software from the hp driver site for my product but still the backlit is unresponsive. I have tried the "resseting the ec" method by unplugging holding the power button for 20-30 seconds. The caps lock light blinks once when I release the power button which is indicating that the ec was successfully reset but when I turn it n the backlit is still on and unresponsive
There is no setting for backlit in regedit, mobility center, power control. Reinstalled drivers but still no luck
At this point I have tried everything but this backlit won't trun off
Note: Also to mention my keyboards specific keys didn't work like the enter and some symbol keys around the enter key but when pressed in combination they worked. I fixed it by pressing hardly on one side of the space bar and the unresponsive keys starting working again. Is backlit problem related to this thing
