Hi @Cecil_123 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble finding and installing the webcam driver for your HP 15-bs0xx laptop running Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit), you can try the following steps:
Device Manager:
- Press Windows Key + X and select "Device Manager" from the menu.
- Look for the "Imaging devices" or "Cameras" category.
- Right-click on your webcam device (it might be listed as "HP Truevision HD" or something similar) and choose "Update driver."
- Select "Search automatically for updated driver software" and let Windows search for the driver online.
HP Support Website:
- Visit the official HP Support website. Software and Drivers for HP 15-bs000 Laptop PC
- Enter your laptop model (HP 15-bs0xx) and navigate to the drivers section.
- Download and install the latest webcam driver available for your specific model.
Windows Update:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, Windows Update can automatically find and install the necessary drivers.
- Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and click "Check for updates."
HP Support Assistant:
- If you have HP Support Assistant installed on your laptop, open it and check for driver updates. It may help you identify and install the missing webcam driver.
Check the BIOS/UEFI Settings:
- Access your laptop's BIOS/UEFI settings during the startup (usually by pressing a key like Esc, F2, F10, or Del).
- Look for any webcam-related settings and ensure they are enabled.
Restore Point:
- If you recently installed or updated drivers and the webcam stopped working, you can use System Restore to go back to a point where the webcam was working. Search for "Create a restore point" in the Start menu to access this feature.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
