I bought a new laptop, and would like to have an indicator that constantly shows whether caps lock is on or off, that would display on the screen or task bar. Currently, there is a tiny light on the caps lock button, but it's on the right hand side of the button, so it's not easily viewed unless I move my hand out of the way, and it also turns off when the light of the backlit keyboard goes out. Thanks.

Hi@RNK_Designs,
Thanks for using the HP Forums. One Stop for all sort of solutions for your HP Products
I have read your post and understand that you need some sort of indicator to let you know if the caps lock is on or off. Is that, right?
I have researched the issue and have come up with a possible resolution.
I suggest you go through the steps below and check if that helps you fix the issue.
- Click Start and then select Settings.
- Select the Ease of Access option and then select the Keyboard option on the left- hand side.
- Then you will have an option for toggling the switch to turn on the notification.
This should solve the issue. Let me know for more solution.

The Ease of Accesss settings only allow you to hear a tone when the caps lock is pressed. I am looking for a constant display on the screen telling me if caps lock is on or off. On my old EliteBook, the light on the caps lock key always stayed on or off, no matter whether the keyboard backlighting was on or off. Thanks.
