Hello, my new HP Chromebook flips the screen over (like it is going to tablet mode) when I am typing or working normally. Shutting the screen and reopening it works for a minute, but then the problem persists, basically making the device unusable.
Anyone have any fixes? If I could just lock the screen in laptop mode I would be happy, but couldn't find a way to do this.
Thank you!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is switching to tablet mode when you are typing.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
- Sign out of your Chromebook.
- Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
- Select Restart.
- In the box that appears, select Powerwash > Continue.
- Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account.
Note: The account you sign in with after you reset your Chromebook will be the owner account. - Once you've reset your Chromebook:
- Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Chromebook
- Check if the problem is fixed
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
