Hello, I have a question about the lid being closed while gaming or video rendering (several hours). I'm using an external monitor and need more space on my desk. So I bought a laptop stand, but I'm worried whether it will be safe for my laptop and higher temperatures will not damage it (mainly the screen)? I don't want to use any additional cooling system because it doesn't make sense and takes up space. HP Omen 2023 i7 + rtx4060

Closing the lid traps heat and will shorten the life of any laptop.
There are laptops stands with built in cooling

This won't change much or will make the situation even worse. I am currently using this type of solution https://www.amazon.co.uk/1home-Notebook-Monitor-Adjustable-Rotation/dp/B074T9Y6G2, but I don't need a second screen, so I bought such a stand new stand
Well, I guess I'll have to sell my laptop and buy a PC 🙂
