The color saturation tone of the video becomes cooler when the video is played in full screen mode. I opened the video with Films & TV app of windows 10 and the problem does not seem to occur when the mouse is moved or when not in full screen mode. Help asap!

@Rishika_dwarak (saintly, it is...) considering your last response has helped us narrow it down to just an issue with the settings on the "Film and TV",
All we need to do now is either reset the application to defaults if the settings can't be tweaked: Click here to verify.
Or try the app I personally use for good playback quality, it's free...(free, free & free) 😛
Check this link: Click here to download and install the free version and you can use this as the alternate player.
(The above link is 3rd party and is not owned by HP, I've posted this only so that I may help you resolve this issue by going beyond my support boundaries, please ignore the ads and take only the free suggestions).
I hope that answers your query, let me know if you like it.

@Rishika_dwarak (Namaste, though that's the extent of my Sanskrit)
Welcome to HP Forums,
Let's get straight to it!
If you haven't done the colour calibration yet, lets use the Windows Color Management settings to walk through the steps of calibrating your display. The steps below are for Windows 10.
Before you start, make sure your monitor has been on for at least half an hour, so it's warmed up properly, and clean your monitor.
1. Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings
2. Click "Advanced display settings" at the bottom of the settings window.
3. Verify that your monitor is set to the recommended, native resolution. If it's not, set it to the recommended resolution at least for this calibration process.
4. Click "Color calibration" at the bottom of the advanced display settings window.
5. Click Next to start the color calibration.
The wizard will walk you through adjusting your color settings. You'll:
- Set the display to the factory default color settings, if your monitor allows you to do that
- Adjust your display's gamma to match a sample image
- Adjust the brightness and contrast
Adjust the color balance
6. At the end of the wizard, click Finish to save your settings.
You'll then be able to calibrate ClearType for sharper text.
Let me know how that pans out
I will have a colleague follow-up on this to ensure it's taken care off,
as I need to know if the issue has been resolved, to get proper sleep at night.
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon,
followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution' as it would help the community gain more knowledge, and have a great day Ahead!

Hey there! ( or Namaste, though that's the extent of my Sanskrit too haha)
I did everything mentioned in your reply. The problem still persists. What now?

Just a distressed college student who is just trying to watch a **bleep** movie xD

@Rishika_dwarak (I think your name has something to do with the Rishi's - the poets of Vedic literature) 😉
Welcome back, I shall take an oath to help you watch that movie or at least identify the cause of the failure, once and for all! xD
That said, which player are you using to watch that movie?
Is it online or offline and does this colour saturation tone change only during a movie or is it different while using the device in general?
- If it's the same in general as well, you may want to connect an external monitor and check if the issue persists on that as well.
- Or if you don't have another monitor, tap on F10 during a reboot and check if the BIOS screen has proper colour.
If the issue persists on the BIOS or the external monitor as well, this could be a hardware malfunction,
However, if the external monitor and/or BIOS works fine while the colour saturation issue appears only in the general screen/windows or it's limited to the video alone, this is a software issue and as such I recommend you reinstall the software in use and, also try with an alternate application & let me know how it goes.
Keep us posted,
(We shall troubleshoot as a team, fight till the end and emerge - "victorious") - I'm a little dramatic, I know! 😉

Hello! ( And yeah you were kinda right about my name. It means "saintly" lol)
Back to the task at hand, comrade.
I use the 'Films and TV' app of Windows 10 to watch the movie ( which is saved in a hard disk and I watch offline ).
And yeah I did the BIOS thing and had no idea if i did it right but everything looked fine to me and the BIOS info was
BIOS version: F.03
BIOS vendor: Insyde
That's all there was regarding BIOS.
Also, I could play it through Windows Media Player and the problem doesn't occur but the video quality sucks compared to the 'Films & TV' app and hence why I'm part of this desperate battle to try and get the color problem resolved xD
Hope we can actually solve my mega first world problem!
Rishika
