Hi @BST-Luxembourg,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to know about compatibility between the Lenovo ThinkVision P34w-20 monitor and your HP 15s-fq5xxx series laptop, particularly using the USB-C connection.
Short answer: Yes, the monitor can work with your HP laptop — but there’s a very important limitation:
➡️ HP 15s-fq5xxx laptops have a USB-C port that supports data and charging only, not video output. So if you're trying to connect the monitor via USB-C and you're not seeing any display, it's likely because your laptop’s USB-C port doesn’t support video output.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @BST-Luxembourg,
Glad to hear the HDMI workaround is doing the trick — it’s a solid and reliable fallback when USB-C gives you grief. And hey, at least now you've got a backup plan and clarity on the limitation.
If anything else pops up (techy or not), feel free to drop by.
Take care and happy computing
