I want to decrease the load times on my computer, and from my knoledge, I'm pretty sure this is done by upgrading my hard drive to a solid state drive. Although, I'm not sure which solid state drives are compatible with my system. Some people online are saying that the Samsung 850 Evo would work, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Evo 850 comes in two form factors- 2.5" and M.2. Both are compatible according to the Maintenance Guide. However I have seen some posters report problems getting Pavilion laptops to boot from M.2 ssd.

You shouldn't need that. It should mount where your current hdd mounts. The mounting board is mainly for owners of desktop machines that have a hdd caddy for a 3.5" hdd.
