I need to connect my HP all in one desktop that has HDMI port to a Dell computer that has DISPLAYPORT/DVI/VGA but no HDMI port so that I can extend display from my HP como7ter to Dell desktop computer (use as 2nd extended monitor)

What is your HP AIO ? Is its HDMI port an IN port ? If not you can not use it as a monitor.

 

  • You can use DP to HDMI cable
  • or DVI to HDMI cable to connect because they use digital signals.
  • VGA is not much help, VGA uses analog signals you need a proper converter.
