I want to connect an Apple Thunderbolt Display with my Elitebook 840 G6.
The Apple Display has a Thunderbolt 2 connector. I am using a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. However, the monitor is not detected.
I came across this thread, which did not help me much and was unfortunately already closed:
However, it seems to be possible in principle to connect an Apple Thunderbolt Display with a Windows-PC (I found it on a German board - but not for a HP notebook):
On the HP support website is an instruction given to connect not Windows-certified devices via Thunderbolt (but it is only valid for HP Spectre or Ultrabook):
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03725328#SpectreConfiguring
Now I am looking for this option on my Elitebook 840 G6, but did not find it so far.
I have updated my drivers, but without success.
Does someone has an idea how to connect not Windows-certified devices via Thunderbolt on a HP EliteBook?
Many thanks in advance for your ideas and help.
Best wishes
Hyanur
