Hi,
I hope you're all well.
i have an Elitebook 840 G3 which I am trying to connect to a HP EliteDisplay E223d FHD USB-C Docking Monitor.
The Elitebook has DisplayPort and VGA monitor connections ; the monitor has HDMI and Displayport over USB C.
I have tried a VGA/USB C convertor with no luck.
Can these two be connected?
Thanks

Update on this.
The background to this is where I work we are being issued with these monitors but the laptops don't have the matching connections. As bi-directional DP to DP over USB c connections are relatively new they are few and far between.
In the end I have found two (Startech support was great)
Or

FYI The monitor reports an unqualified cable message but you can switch of the OSD message on the monitor menu
It's a shame HP don't supply these.
