I've got no idea what is your HP 470G i5 notebook but the monitor has DVI, HDMI and DP inputs with resolution  1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz; WUXGA using 16:10 ratio. Its specs

Depending on available port(s) on your notebook, you need one standard DVI cable or one standard HDMI cable or one standard Display port cable to connect your notebook to your monitor. You nay not get 16:10 ratio because video port on your motebook may only give your 16:9 ratio, that means 1820 x 1080 resolution.

Regards.
