Hi,
I have a thurderbolt/HDMI extender to connect my Spectre to a screen while working from home. However, this means that I can't charge the laptop at the same time, which causes issues when I'm working a full day.
Suggestions for a USB/HDMI hub that I can connect to the USB B port on the left of the keyboard, so I can use all accessories while still charging? All the USB/HDMI hubs I'm finding require being connected to the USB C port.
Many thanks

What is a thunderbolt/HDMI extender?
Do you mean a USB type-C to HDMI cable instead?
You did not provide the product number of your notebook.
You should do that so we are on the same page.
I own a spectre x360 13t-ab000 notebook and I can use either of the USB Type-C ports for charging. If your notebook has two USB Type-C ports you should also be able to do that.
As far as I am aware there are no USB type B ports that allow for connection to an HDMI. The reason is that they are for data, not display.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply! I have a HP Spectre x360 14-ea0009na Convertible Laptop .
I have two ports: a USB type C and a USB type C. I need the USB type C to charge the laptop as the charger only fits into that slot. That leaves the USB type C for all other connectivity.
There are USB type B ports that allow connections to HDMI, but they just have the HDMI port and nothing else (as opposed to the USB/HDMI ports that you can connect with a USB Type C plug), but that would result in me not being able to use other USB devices (i.e. wireless mouse and keyboard).

Either of the the USB 3.2 (thunderbolt) Type-C ports can be used for charging.
You should be using a paired a mouse and keyboard, not mouse and keyboard that require seperate USB dongles.
A paired set generally uses a USB 3.1 type- B port wireless or bluetooth dongle.
That would still leave you with an available USB 3.2 Type-C thunderbolt port for a USB 3.2 Type-C to HDMI connection cable.
You did not answer my question about the HDMI cable.

Hi,
I unfortunately only have one thunderbolt port. So I can only charge in one place.
I do use a paired mouse and keyboard set.
I'm sorry but I thought I did answer your question about the HDMI cable. Not sure what else I can add - I have two ports. the one I need for charging is the same one I need to connect to the HDMI port.
